What was the highlight of HOTEL MYSTAYS Ueno East
Good price if you’re traveling on a budget.
The location is accessible. Staff can speak English, too. Near coin parking and station. Lots of restaurant and fastfood chain within the vicinity. We reserved queen size bed so the room space is wider than others. Good thing they have prepared mobile phone chargers.
They should have enough toothbrush for number of guests staying in the room. The room has a little bit of unpleasant smell when we entered. Food was bento-style but not so tasty even though it was heated.

Really good staff and fluffy pillow!
The staff was really friendly! they help us reserved the room so we don't need to move our stuff out since we have 1 group that need to checkout early and another group will stay for next day. The room was really clean and comfy with all the pillows!
the bathroom had some strange smell and when we stay they seem to renovate the building so it hard to find the entrance.

Wonderful
Nice location! It is near Ueno station, which is convenient for me, who travels from Narita Airport using the Skyliner. The check-in was smooth. The trainee who served us did a great job. She explained things clearly, and there was no communication issue as well. Kudos to her! The room was nice. It was clean, tidy, and relatively spacey. I love the amenities, too! I like the way they provide some amenities in the lobby so that guests can choose what they need. Lastly, as a smoker, I really appreciate that they have a smoking area in the lobby. Overall, I got what I needed and had a great time in this hotel. This hotel is the first one in my trip and is beyond my expectations. It sets the high bar of what I would expect from the rest of the accommodations during the trip.
Since the AC is centralised, guests have no control over it.
